Vicki Syal, a first-gen Brazilian-Indian producer is a 2025 Sundance Producers Lab Fellow. She champions inclusive storytelling through her award-winning work. Her projects premiering in 2025 include SWEET TALKIN' GUY (Sundance, SXSW Sydney, BFI), SAY YOU'RE SORRY (LALIFF), RECOLLECTORS featuring Maria Zhang and Highdee Kuan (LAAPFF), THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD for Warner Bros' Reframed: Next Gen Narratives series (streaming on Max), and Kid Cudi's NEVERLAND (Tribeca).

Notable 2024 projects include WHAT TO EXPECT (which she produced and co-wrote), earning a $40K Latino Public Broadcasting grant. She was a two-time top 5 finalist for Tribeca's Untold Stories (FOR YOUR OWN GOOD in 2024, FIGHT LIKE A MOTHER in 2025).

Since 2010, she has produced numerous projects including feature films, shorts, music videos, and episodic content. Her feature film STAKES IS HIGH (2024) won the Narrative Grand Jury Prize at Dallas International Film Festival, Best Narrative Feature at Port Townsend Film Festival, and earned awards at Harlem International Film Festival and NYC Independent Film Festival, while ABRAZO garnered over 25 awards on the festival circuit.

She has also created series for Jellysmack, Healthline, and Discovery+. As former Head of Production at Pollution Studios, she oversaw daily operations and post-production, managing everything from script development to final delivery.

In her role as Production Executive for Rideback RISE, Vicki oversaw a production slate of eight concurrent projects for the fellowship program, guiding emerging filmmakers from development through post-production delivery. Her commitment to the wellbeing of her production teams remains a cornerstone of her ethos across all sets.
