Vicki Syal is a first-generation Brazilian-Indian filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. With a background in writing and education, she began producing digital content in 2010. She has produced everything from theater to short films, commercials, music videos, docu-series, and features. She has a keen interest in social issues, politics, sci-fi, magical realism, and satire. Her projects have been official selections at LaLiff, HBO Women in Comedy Festival, LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, Icaro, NMFLA, the PBS Short Film Festival, and Outfest. ​

 

The first feature she produced: “Love Doll” can be seen on Amazon, Mometu, and Tubi. In addition to producing, she’s also a lifelong writer. She wrote and produced a ten-episode season of “Pre-Production: The Webseries.” Recently, she co-wrote an 18-episode surrealist comedic podcast for Sonoro and iHeart Radio. At present, she serves as the Head of Production for Pollution Studios (as well as their Director of Fun & Games.) Vicki oversees all day-to-day productions, as well as the post-production department. In her free time, she continues to develop narrative work as both a creator and producer.
